What we collect
You can browse the public directory without an account. When you submit a centre, correction or claim, we collect the name, work email, relationship, organisation and evidence you choose to provide.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 on public informational and catalogue pages to understand aggregate visits, navigation and engagement. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies including _ga and _ga_<property-id> to distinguish pseudonymous visitors and sessions. It may process page and interaction data, referral information, browser and device details, approximate location and a pseudonymous client identifier.
Advertising storage, Google Signals and advertising personalisation are disabled. Search, claim, correction and submission paths are excluded, and we do not intentionally send form contents, address searches, browser coordinates, names, email addresses or other direct identifiers to Analytics. Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Google processes Analytics data as our service provider; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
You can delete or block Analytics cookies in your browser settings. You can also use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Nearby search and your location
Browser location is requested only after you select “Use my location.” The coordinates stay in that browser tab and are not sent to or stored by Preschools.sg. Address and postal-code lookups use a POST request so the query is not placed in the page URL or ordinary access logs. Six-digit HDB postal codes are resolved locally from a versioned government open-data index where possible.
If a query cannot be resolved locally, its unit number is removed and the minimised text is sent to OpenStreetMap’s Nominatim service only after you submit the form. Preschools.sg does not persist or add the query to analytics. Do not enter confidential information. OpenStreetMap has its own privacy practices.
Why we use submission data
We use submission information only to review the request, verify authority or evidence, prevent abuse and follow up where necessary. A public submission never changes a listing automatically.
Storage and access
Submission records are stored in the site’s private server-side intake directory, outside the public web content and source repository. Access should be limited to authorised reviewers. Do not submit identity documents, children’s information, health information or other sensitive material.
Retention
Intake records should be deleted when no longer needed for review, audit or dispute handling. The operational cleanup command removes resolved records older than 12 months; pending cases require human review before deletion.
Public source data
Centre listings and map points come from publicly licensed government data and may include business contact information. Use the correction path on a listing if the public record is inaccurate.
Third-party links and map services
The basemap is served by OneMap. Links to ECDA, data.gov.sg, centre websites and maps take you to services with their own privacy practices.
